Alida fish and crayfish traps are repeating traps that can catch lots of fish and crayfish at a time. The special funnel design of the trap doors, draw the fish and crayfish in, and doesn't let them out. For optimal trapping conditions, the fish and crayfish traps should be placed in the water with the entrance of the traps facing downstream. As the fish and crayfish swim upstream, the special funnel design of the trap doors directs the fish to swim into the traps. In some fast running streams, it may be necessary to weigh the traps down with one or two rocks. It is also helpful to attach a line from the traps to a buoy or to anything secure on the shore.
